Sharks, Shark attacks and war

Another memorable shoot I was part of for the BBC series Asia happened in the outflow to a power plant in Israel. The local Dusky sharks use the warm water outflow to save energy on heating and the location is bizarre and industrial both under and above water.

Since filming there have been two incidents here. In April 2025 a snorkeler was attached and killed at this location and early in 2026 a missile strike from the war with Iran missed the power plan but from video footage online it looked like a direct hit on our filming location. I do wonder how the sharks are doing after all of this!
